HotJava Installation Instructions, Sun Solaris SPARC-based Machines

The HotJava Browser 1.0 supports Sun Solaris 2.5 SPARC-based computers.

The HotJava Browser 1.0 now comes bundled with the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and does not require a separate Java Development Kit (JDK) installed on your computer.

The HotJava Browser is likely to run on Solaris 2.3 and 2.4, but it has not been tested on these systems.

The HotJava Browser does not run on Solaris 1.x (SunOS 4.x).

The HotJava Browser should run with both CDE and OpenWindows, but only CDE is supported.

Step 1: Copy the HotJava Browser 1.0 self-extracting archive file
